Room Hire
As well as being our 'church hall', Wesleys is a community coffee lounge where everyone is welcome.
There is an open, carpeted area (21'x24') and a laminated area (24'x12') which is usually laid out 'cafe' style. All of the furniture can be moved aside to create one large open space of approximately 800ft².
We don't use Wesleys all of the time, and we welcome groups of many kinds to share our facilities.
There are a number of comfortable chairs and folding tables that can be used as well as the 'cafe' tables and chairs.
Although A.V. equipment isn't available there is a 4'x4' pull-down screen.
There is also the use of the kitchen to make tea/coffee etc.
Any group or individual hiring will need to sign our Safeguarding; H & S and Public Liability documentation.
Regular groups will need to arrange their own public Liability insurance.
As a Fair Trade Church we very much encourage hiring groups to use Fairly Traded products in their refreshments.
Our rates vary from £10/hr for regular bookings to £12/hr for one-off use.
Children's parties or other gatherings can also be held in Wesleys, and you can either bring your own food, or Wesleys qualified manager will be happy arrange anything from 'nibbles' to a full buffet for up to 50 people.
With us providing the buffet the cost of this will of course vary according to numbers and the food etc. required, but you'll find our rates very competitive.
Although not usually available for hire, from time to time we do allow choirs/small musical or theatre groups etc. to use our chapel. (The pipe and electronic organ may also be available providing they are only played by a suitably able person). Although not strictly limited to Christian performances any programme would have to take into account that this is a place of worship.
From 10am - 2pm on most Saturdays we can also offer registered charities (especially smaller, local ones) a 6'x2' 'table-top' to sell items for their funds or simply display information to raise awareness. There is no charge for this.
